Dear Castlewood Families,
My name is Lisa Kruger and I am very excited to introduce myself as the new Parent Coordinator here at the “little school with the big heart.”
I have served in various positions with the Parent Teacher Association (PTA) in three different DOE schools including Castlewood. I have also been a parent member of the School Leadership Team (SLT) in these same three schools. My parental involvement has truly helped in my sons’ achievements and progress throughout the years. It has also helped me gain support and knowledge to help navigate my sons’ educational journeys.
One of my goals is to help strengthen the collaboration between parents, staff, and administration. The home-school connection is very important in the success of our students. Castlewood has always been a welcoming place for me and my family. I would like for that to continue for all families and work towards making our school an even better experience for everyone.
I would like to thank the PTA that volunteers so much of their time to help support the students in all grades. They work really hard at putting together fundraisers, planning school events, and so much more. I will continue to support the PTA as I begin my new role at Castlewood.
