Principal's Message
It is my great honor to be able to now introduce myself as the appointed Principal of The Castlewood Elementary School! Words cannot properly express my excitement and enthusiasm to lead this “small school with a big heart”.
This year will mark my 23rd year in education all within the New York City Department of Education. I spent several years in the classroom setting as well as a Dean of students, before moving on to serve as an Assistant Principal for the past 15 years. However, I must say that the past 10 months here at Castlewood have been some of the most rewarding of those 23 years. Over those past 10 months we have begun to build a strong foundation that will carry us into the next chapter here at Castlewood, and I am confident that we are poised to make incredible developments that will only strengthen that journey.
I want to take a moment to express to you just how important I believe that building strong relationships and staying connected is in order for our students and school to be successful. That is why you will always find me available at arrivals and dismissal to answer your questions, as well as receive regular communication from the school through various platforms.
Your support is so appreciated as we work together to educate our students to be the best they can be! I look forward to continuing getting to know each of you and collaborating with you so that we all may continue to grow and learn together.
